CHRISTMAS Around the World was the title of the festive production performed by more than 100 pupils at Sutton Primary School.
The play told the story of an imaginary land of angels, and their visits to various countries, to see how children celebrate Christmas in different ways.
Year 2 team leader Ruth Bridges said: “The angels visited Poland, Ireland, China, Australia and the USA. The play ended with the telling of the Nativity story.”
There were three performances watched by parents, grandparents and visitors, with every child getting on stage to sing, dance, or tell the story.
Ruth added: “The children were absolutely fantastic and the dancing and singing went very well. Everyone worked very hard, the children really loved performing and we have had some terrific feedback.”
Key Stage 2 children ended the term with a traditional carol concert held at St Andrew’s Church, Sutton.
