JUNE was a busy month. We had a guided wildlife walk around Fen Drayton Pits on June 20 and pond dipping on the 26th during Feast Week.
Alan Revill will be at the Gault Hole (along the river bank between The Three Pickerels and Anchor) from dawn till the music and dancing before Party in the Park starts, Go for a stroll and see the number of sightings he has made, some quite rare including Barn Owls hunting during the day to fees their hungry youngsters. We hope to raffle A Doulton dinner service at Party in the Park, the proceeds to a new lawnmower, come and find our stall and buy a ticket!
The working parties will meet on August 5 at the Old Churchyard at 10am, all welcome.
Next talk is on September 19. Cameron Hawke-Smith, curator of Cambridge Folk Museum will give an illustrated talk on the work of the museum. Meeting at the Pavilion at 8pm
