An 85-year-old farm volunteer led a team of skydivers as they leap out of plane from thousands of feet in the air to raise funds for charity.
Ron Cornell took the plunge from 13,000ft at Beccles Airfield with a team of 24 colleagues on June 8 as part of efforts to raise £25,0000 for Snakehall Farm, in Reach.
The 18-acre farm, which is run by adults with learning difficulties, is preparing to celebrate its 25th anniversary and volunteers, including Ron, wanted to do something special to mark the occasion.
And upon his safe landing, when asked how did it go - Ron simply replied: “Can I go again?”
The team’s feat of fear-inducing fundraising was Ron’s idea to mark 25 years of the Prospects Trust, a charitable social enterprise Care Farm supporting adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.
Ron volunteers on the farm each week, driving a tractor around the 18-acre organic farm site.
