More than 500 students took part in a careers day organised by the Ely Schools Partnership and Ely College.

Students were given the chance to meet with businesses and organisations to explore the different career opportunities available to them.

In the morning Year 5 students from local primary schools had an opportunity to visit each stand and take part in activities with an interactive theme.

In the afternoon Year 8 and 9 students from Ely College talked to exhibitors to gain an insight into the world of work.

Richard Spencer, principal of Ely College, said: “We were delighted to be involved in the organisation of this fantastic event. “Understanding what you need to achieve and do to pursue different types of careers is vitally important, especially at an early age.
