IT'S a bit rich of Cllr Powley to claim that the Liberal Democrats "misled" people, when we claimed that £12 million had been spent by the county council on consultants, we only quoted the figures he had supplied to us!

We were not to know that Cllr Powley would play political games and try to "muddy the waters" around this expenditure, by including a lot of irrelevant contractor costs. He probably hoped it would be easier to attempt to justify the enormous sums paid by the county council to private consultancies.

I would like Cllr Powley to know that I shall be asking the same question with regard to the current and future council budget years, and ask that he attempts to answer the question correctly next time? By the way, I still haven't received a correct reply to my original question which should include a break-down of the top five grossing consultancy firms and the services they provided?
