An overnight collision where a car left the road and crashed into a road sign has led to advice from police about driving in freezing conditions.
Police have shared five key points to keep drivers on the road after a Vauxhall Meriva crashed into roads signage on Ely Road, Little Downham.
A police spokesman said: “Thankfully the driver was unhurt.
“But we are reiterating advice to drivers this morning following an overnight cold snap in the weather.
“Motorists have woken up today (Thursday 28) to frosty cars following an overnight freeze. Please stay safe and enjoy the holidays.”
STAY ON THE ROAD:
1. Is your vehicle road worthy? Check your POWER (petrol, oil, water, electrics and rubber) before you set off.

2. Mass x Velocity = Momentum (in other words - you can do little to control the weight of your vehicle, so control your speed instead)
3. Check the conditions - if the conditions are poor, is your journey necessary? Drive to the conditions.
4. Don’t drive impaired - drink, drugs, tiredness and mobile phones all kill people when combined with cars.
5. Be patient and considerate - check mirrors and shoulders, use indicators, stay aware of pedestrians, horses and cycles.
