TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill near Ely this morning (Thursday) after a car overturned on a busy main road.
The incident occurred at 10.30am on the A142 Witchford Road, with a red Peugeot 206 ending up on its roof after careering into a roadside ditch.
A woman who was driving the car was treated by ambulance crews at the scene before being taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
Her injuries were not understood to be serious.
Traffic returned to normal by midday after officers managed to recover the vehicle.
