SIX specially commissioned settings of psalms for Holy Week by Ely composer John Lawson Baker are to be sung for the first time this year at services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday, at St Peter's church in Broad Street Ely.
Mr Lawson Baker, is a retired architect and has lived in Ely since 1999, since then several of his compositions have been sung at the cathedral.
He has sung in various choirs since the age of 10 and is currently a member of the St Peter's Singers, conducted by Canon Chris Barber.
