THE Rev Valerie Kilner led our service of morning prayer for Advent Sunday. Later that day, two of our young people were confirmed by the Bishop of Huntingdon in St Mary's Church, Ely.
Our Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday in the village school, 2pm - 4pm.
On Sunday, we will join with members of the Little Thetford Baptist Chapel for the annual tree service in the chapel at 9.45am. Everyone is invited to bring toys (new or used, but in good condition) to place under the Christmas tree. These will be distributed to needy children in Ely and the surrounding area.
On Mondays at 9am, there is a short service of morning prayer in St George's Church, followed by coffee at 9.30am.
On Tuesday, there will be a pram service for under-fives and their mums/dads/ grandparents/carers/etc. The service will include a simple Bible story with action songs, instruments, craft and a short prayer, and will be followed by refreshments. The service runs on alternate Tuesday afternoons in school term-time from 2pm to 2.45pm.
