THE Arts and Crafts Fair was a resounding success, according to the combined reports of the participants and visitors.
Alas, the St George's Dragons did not prevail against the Littleport Bowls team. The vicar, the Rev Rosemary Maskell, is quietly confident that next year's result will be different.
On Sunday, the vicar presided at the 10am service and the curate, the Rev T Dixon, preached what was, for her, a goodbye. After the service, a reception was held in the Parish Room, for parishioners to say their individual farewells.
On Friday, a sponsored hymn singing will be held in St George's in aid of the Roof Restoration Fund. All are welcome to come and sponsor the choir to sing favourites old and new.
