AN open garden event was held in aid of the Church Restoration Fund, in which more than 20 of our more green-fingered parishioners opened their gardens and displayed their hard work to the gaze and inspection of the masses. For once, the weather people got it right, the sun did shine, and a very enjoyable and instructional visit was had by all.

The not so green-fingered stayed behind in the Parish Room and provided the essential refreshments. Well done to all.

Sunday, the 10am Parish Eucharist was celebrated by the vicar, the Rev Rosemary Maskell, who also preached the Pentecost sermon.

On Sunday evening, at the close of the open garden event, we held a Songs of Praise, in which the top 10 hymns, selected by the congregation, were sung and enjoyed by us and our friends from St John's Methodist Church.

Sunday (Trinity Sunday) the 10am Parish Eucharist will be celebrated by the vicar, and the sermon will be preached by Caril Swain.
