THE united family service on Sunday morning was led by the Rev Pauline Scott, vicar of St George's, Little Thetford who preached the sermon 'being rooted in God'. The annual rededication of the Girls' Brigade took place during the service. The girls received their awards from the past year from Peter Cockerton, chaplain to the Girls' Brigade.

The preacher for the afternoon service was Gordon Gann and the theme was 'showing love to others by giving them Christ's message'. Holy Communion was celebrated.

The preacher at next Sunday's service at 3pm is Keith Rawlinson.
