THE church was packed on Sunday for the harvest thanksgiving service with a baptism, taken by the Rev Teresa Dixon.
Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, Brownies and Rainbows paraded through the village to the service and the church was beautifully decorated by church members and representatives of village organisations.
There will be parish communion on Tuesday at 10am. Next Sunday, at 10.30am, the celebrant will be the Rev Dixon at Sung Eucharist, and the Sunday School will meet at 10.30am at the church.
On Fridays the Baby Cafe meets in the school term at St Andrew's Hall at 9.30am; this is for young children with parents/carers, for arts/crafts, music and some worship time.
The village gave their copper coins towards renovation of St Andrew's Hall; the collection amounted to £506. We would like to thank all those who gave so generously.
