The Pymoor Fundraising Committee handed out more than £1,500 to good causes this week.
Back in February, the Pymoor Fundraising Committee held its second charity Valentine’s Ball in Little Downham Village Hall.
A total of 125 guests sat down to a four course dinner after which a prize draw was held. To end the evening, gusts danced the night away to the sounds of local band Now Wash Your Hands.
The fundraising committee was formed after the demise of the popular Pymoor Agricultural Show back in 2012. Several of the show’s committee wanted to continue raising money for charities and the idea of a Valentine’s Ball was developed.
This year, two charities were selected; SCOPE which supports disabled children and adults and their families and Make a Wish Foundation, which provides quality away together for families of seriously ill children.
The charities were presented with cheques for £1,500 and £250 respectively.
