A SPEEDING teenage driver who was followed by a police car driving at between 50 and 60 mph through the centre of Ely late at night was given a 12-month driving ban this week.

Danny Stone-Parker, 18, of Clayway, Ely, had previously admitted failing to stop for the police, driving without due care and attention, and driving without insurance or a licence.

He was fined £100 and ordered to pay a £15 surcharge and £75 costs.
