A SOLDIER from the Parachute Regiment who admitted two charges of driving at more than 100 mph has been banned from driving for 35 days.
William Richardson, 22, drove at 104 mph on the A14 at Swavesey on January 7, and drove at 110 mph on the A120 in Essex on April 5.
A driving instructor with the army, he has already completed two tours of Afghanistan and is preparing to move out to Uganda.
Richardson was also fined a total of �650 with �70 costs and a �15 surcharge.
"These were horrendous speeds," said presiding magistrate Mary Rone. "But you are obviously a valued member of the services, and we give you credit for your work.
