On Friday, president S Knight welcomed members to the meeting. Jerusalem was sung followed by the business matters. This was also the AGM when the president thanked the committee for their hard work throughout the year. Mrs Long gave the secretary's report and treasurer J Langley gave her report stating that they continue to have a healthy balance in the account. Sheila Roach thanked the committee on behalf of the members. The officers and committee agreed to continue for yet another year. Y Long welcomed the speaker Veronica Bennett who gave a very informative talk with slides called 'putting the house to bed', telling members about all the hard work which goes on behind the scenes at the many houses with the National Trust, when they are closed to visitors. Gwen Bridgeman thanked her for coming to the meeting. Refreshments were served by the committee and Mrs Knight and Mrs Langley organised the raffle. Members were reminded of the next meeting which will be held on April 6.
