MEMBERS met in the Mill View Room in Keith Leonard House on Friday. President Sheila Knight welcomed everyone and members all joined in the singing of Jerusalem. The business part of the meeting was gone through and names were taken for the Christmas party at Brook House on December 12. Yvonne Long was pleased to welcome the Rev Alan Ashton from Newmarket who gave a flower arranging demonstration using many different colours and kinds of foliage and flowers. These arrangements were raffled during the evening. Gwen Bridgeman thanked the Rev Ashton on behalf of everyone. Refreshments were served by the committee and Sheila Knight organised the raffle. Rev Ashton judged the exhibition of buttonholes or corsage and the winners were: S Taylor, second: A Rice and in third place was J Neville.
