A suspected burglar was arrested in Soham thanks to the help of two members of the public.
Police have since said “a big thank you” to the people who detained the man last night in Thomas Mews until officers arrived.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at just after 10.30pm yesterday (September 10) to reports of a burglary in progress at a garage of an address in Thomas Mews, Soham.
“Officers attended and a man in his 30s from Soham was arrested at the scene on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
“Thanks to those members of the public, the man is now at Parkside helping us answer our questions.”
