A group of 40 art students at Soham Village College were given the opportunity to further their skills with a special ‘gifted and talented’ workshop on Thursday.
The pupils, from Years 7 to 9, came together to work on six murals based on six countries: France, Germany, Poland, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
The pupils researched work done by their favourite artists before testing out their styles using different mediums, from painting right through to graphic design.
The different styles were then collaged together to create work based on one of the six countries.
Teacher Hannah Cooke, who oversaw the workshop, said the event was organised to help build relationships between local students and those with English as an additional language, while promoting the study of art and languages.
