Visitors to Soham library on Saturday were given a glimpse of what life was like in the Anglo Saxon period.

Soham Heritage and Tourism Group hosted an exhibition looking at the history of Soham hundreds of years ago, with artefacts, displays and activities for people to enjoy.

The exhibition also looked at the history of St Felix, who is believed to have been the first Bishop of East Anglia, and who made his seat in Soham.

A spokesman for the heritage group said: “We were overwhelmed with the response.

“It was a pleasure to talk to our many visitors about Soham during this period and heart warming to see so many children and their mums and dads taking part in the activities too.”
