A charity fund-raising group based in Soham handed over the proceeds of its latest event to the town’s foodbank, on Tuesday.

These Feet are Made for Dancing raised £200 at a Christmas family disco held at Julius Martin Lane, on December 12.

Foodbank organiser, Howard Laver received £200 from the charity group’s prime mover Sue Fuller.

Mr Laver said the money would be used for van hire to move the food from Ely to Soham and for other expenses.

Soham Foodbank works under the umbrella of the Ely Foodbank and runs from the Salvation Army building, in Bushel Lane, weekly on Tuesday mornings.
