A 13-year-old from Soham has recorded and released a charity single which she hopes will help raise hundreds for the homeless.
Talented Soham Village College pupil Megan Simpson, was inspired to write her debut single by the plight of people sleeping rough in Cambridgeshire.
The Year 9 pupil recorded the track - titled Walking By – at a studio in Milton and the release has already been downloaded more than 75 times, raising almost £200 for homeless charities Winter Comfort and Cambridge Cyrenians.
She said: “I can’t believe that there are so many people sleeping outside on the streets while we are all sitting around a Christmas tree.”
