A SOHAM pensioner has been cleared of sexual assault.
Ronald Bailey, 78, of Lode Close, went on trial for three counts of sexual assault at Cambridge Crown Court.
The offences were alleged to have taken place between February 28, 2007 and May 17, 2008 on a woman over 16 and a child under 13.
However, on April 22, the jury found Mr Bailey not guilty.
The Crown Prosecution Service will now decide whether or not to proceed with a fourth similar charge, made on a separate indictment.
A decision is expected on May 8.
