ON August 12, members of the club got together for the final of the three competitions organised by Ken Chapman. Due to the weather, no games of bowls were played. Mrs Long organised a quiz with questions taken from the Weakest Link quiz book. Yvonne was assisted by Gerald Johnson keeping the score. The winners were Carol Mason's team. Everyone enjoyed supper provided by Ken and Joan. Ken thanked everyone for their support and gave out the competition results based on the two games played. The winner was Pat Bayes with Lorraine Jackson as runner-up. Prizes to be awarded at the finals night on September 3. The next social evening will be on November 4, with proceeds going to charity. Roger Bayes thanked Ken and Joan on behalf of everyone for yet another great evening. Thanks were also extended to Yvonne for organising the quiz. Members were reminded of the match on August 19 when the ladies play the men starting at 5.30pm
