Six people were arrested in Ely after a fight broke out on a train.
An off-duty police officer was injured in the incident, which happened on board the 19.14 King’s Cross to King’s Lynn service on Wednesday, July 19.
British Transport Police boarded the train when it stopped at Ely. Five people were arrested on suspicion of affray. One was arrested on susupicion of affray and assaulting a police officer.
Officers tweeted: “Arrested persons taken to @KingsLynnPolice and @CambridgeCops custodies. Thanks to their officers for assisting us with the necessary.
“An off duty police officer was injured in the incident and we wish him well in his recovery following this incident. Our investigations continue.”
