SID Bibby Turf and Landscaping at Sutton prides itself on being a local company with a long history of serving the community.
The business has recently opened a new inspirational landscape centre at its premises in Ely Road.
Director Sid – a third generation of his family to be involved in the business - said: “Our family name is synonymous with turf; my grandfather started a turf company back in 1950.
“My parents still run that operation, but over the last 12 years I have developed the landscaping business, for both domestic and commercial customers.
“We have expanded even further this year, opening the landscape centre with a range of show gardens; we sell a range of sandstone, cobbles, pebbles, sleepers, top soil, mulch, barbecues, sheds, and even artificial turf.
“We have had a steady stream of visitors and everyone seems impressed. We are building up a new reputation, for being a place where the public can come in and have a look around.”
The company supplies a wide selection of services, including gardening, scenery layout, and landscape development.
Sid Bibby Turf and Landscaping is keen to support the Ely Standard’s Keep it Local campaign.
“Over the last 12 years we have employed about 100 different people, training them from scratch; and many have gone on to build up their own business,” said Sid.
“We are very keen to serve the local community; we have trained a lot of local lads who have then found a vocation they enjoy. We are very happy to do that.”
The new landscape centre is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
