THE organisers of the Pymoor Agricultural Show handed over a cheque for £1,500 to the British Heart Foundation this week.

The group, which decided to stay together despite no longer running the show, held a Valentine’s Ball on February 16 in Little Downham Village Hall and more than 100 guests attended.

A raffle and prize draw was held and a whopping £1,500 was raised, which was handed over to staff at the Ely branch of the charity, in High Street, this week.

As the event was such a success, the group has decided to run another ball in 2014, but the venue and charity are yet to be announced.
