THE Pymoor Agricultural and Country Show is to take place on July 1.
The final stages of preparation are underway for what is expected to be another special event.
This year the Ponies UK Show will be taking place opposite the main show-ground and classes will be available not just to qualify for their National Championships but also for local riders. Call Jeff on 07860 799183 for more details.
Other events to take place are a Tug-o-War competition (to enter a team call Johnny on 07766 080450), a Clay Shoot with trained shooters on site to give tuition to shooters of all levels, a 25-metre race for dogs with all welcome to enter their pets. There will also be a number of exhibits.
The show will be all about keeping the theme agricultural but the main objective will be to raise as much money as possible for charity and local amenities and the committee are hoping to improve on the £6,000 that was raised at last year's event. This year's charities are The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, The British Wireless for the Blind and The Alzheimer's Society.
A few places are still available for those wanting to exhibit on show day.
