Short story competition is now open for Ely Arts Festival

Ely Arts Festival is running a world-wide short story competition for people of any age.

To enter send an unpublished short story of 500 words inspired by ‘The Fens’ to rjwestwell@hotmail.com by midnight on Thursday June 1. Entries are now open.

There is no charge for entering. There will be three judges and cash prizes: £50 for first prize, £25 for the second and £10 for the third prize.

The winners will be announced at the Ely Writers’ Day on Saturday July 1 which will take place in Ely Library from 10am to 3pm. The day is free to attend and there will be refreshments including a sandwich lunch. Book early by emailing rjwestwell@hotmail.com
