SHOPPERS at James Graven's Budgens in Soham have raised more than 870 for the two primary schools in the town through their annual voucher scheme.
Customers collected tokens from September to December 2008 and passed them onto St Andrew's Primary and Weatheralls School for redemption. Nearly 9,000 tokens were collected between the two schools which was converted into cash by James Graven Ltd.
Jonathan James, owner of the Clay Street store said: "It is an excellent scheme, enabling our customers to help raise funds for our two local primary schools. We feel we have an important role to play in supporting the local schools in our communities. The School Voucher Scheme allows us to do just that, as well as involving the wider community in our fundraising efforts.
