More than £1,000 worth of items including three pairs of Beats Solo headphones and two bikes were stolen during five separate shop thefts by what police believe is the same man.

Officers have since released CCTV images in connection with the series of thefts which took place in Cambridge city centre in October.

A police spokesman said: “The man pictured has been connected with thefts from several stores in the city centre over the past month.

• On Tuesday, 31 October at around 9.10am a pair of Beats Solo headphones worth around £250 were stolen from the Apple Store in St Andrews Street, Cambridge.

• On Friday, 27 October at around 12.40pm a second pair of Beats Solo headphones worth around £250 were stolen from the Apple Store in St Andrews Street, Cambridge.

• On Friday, 20 October at around 6pm a pair of black Beats Studio headphones worth around £300 were stolen from the Apple Store in St Andrews Street, Cambridge.

• On Monday, 9 October at around 5.45pm a bicycle worth around £160 was stolen from Decathlon, Grafton Centre.

• On Saturday, 7 October 2017 at around 11.45am a second bicycle worth around £160 was stolen from Decathlon, Grafton Centre.

“A further attempt to steal a bicycle from Decathlon took place at around 4pm on Thursday, 12 October.”

PCSO Laura O’Flynn said: “As well as these thefts we believe the suspect may have been involved in other thefts from shops in Cambridge city centre worth several hundreds of pounds so we are keen to speak to anyone who has information and in particular the man pictured in the CCTV images.”
