FINS weren't what they ought to be at Lazy Otter Meadows Property Development at Stretham Ferry this week when an unexpected visitor was spotted in the River Ouse.
Residents at the development were aghast as a real life Jaws was seen swimming past their homes on Wednesday afternoon (April 1).
Part-owner and manager of The Meadows Property Development, James Gough, was called onsite as the normally secluded, safe housing development became the centre of attention. "We have heard of unusual sea life entering the River Ouse at King's Lynn," said Mr Gough, "but we never expected anything like this to be seen in the usually tranquil environs of Lazy Otter Meadows."
The RSPCA and the Environment Agency were due to visit the site as the Ely Standard went to press.
