HADDENHAM man Stephen Strangward faces charges of sexually assaulting a teenage girl, and on Thursday was remanded in custody by Ely magistrates.

Strangward, 49, of Bell Gardens, faces four allegations of assault, on dates between September 1 last year, and February 13 this year.

Magistrates have already decided the allegations are so serious that he should be dealt with at Cambridge Crown Court, and he is due to attend committal proceedings in the city on March 30.
