A NEW dry garden is being created in Ely's Jubilee Gardens and large pieces of Lincolnshire limestone were delivered to mark the start of the project. The stone from Holywell quarry is the same as that used to build Ely Cathedral and will help to retain soil for tree and shrub planting. The Friends of Jubilee Gardens launched the project, which will include seven olive trees, some of which have already been sponsored, with an under-planting of lavenders. East Cambridgeshire District Council workers will create the new garden.
