Ely District Scouts raised a massive £2,700 through a bag packing event at Sainsbury’s store in Ely.
The event - to raise money for a residential trip to Austria - was part of the company’s corporate Christmas programme.
Assistant cub leader Simon Paine said: “I would like to say a massive thank you on behalf of the Ely District Scouts, to all of the customers who supported us and made a donation.
“We managed to raise almost £3,000, which will really help towards the funds for our trip next year.”
There are a number of other events at the store in the lead up to Christmas, including a fund raising event for the Liam Fairhurst Foundation on Saturday and Sunday, December 21 and 22; as well as the City of Ely Military Band playing on Saturday December 21, and Wicken Coronation Band playing on Monday afternoon (December 23).
