A SCHOOL teacher accused of possessing hundreds of pornographic images involving children was committed to Cambridge Crown Court this week.
Forty-three-year-old Philip Scott will appear before a judge at the crown court on August 27 to face a total of five charges of making an indecent image of a child and five charges of possessing child pornography.
Scott, 43, of Black Horse Drove, Littleport, is also charged with two counts of possessing extreme pornographic images of adults with animals.
Scott is currently suspended from his job as a teacher at the Springwood High School in King’s Lynn.
He did not enter pleas before the court on Thursday, and magistrates declined jurisdiction over the case. He was granted bail by magistrates on the condition that he does not visit an educational establishment without the prior consent of the headteacher.
