Little Thetford CE Primary Schools pupils hit the right notes when they performed alongside thousands of other children as part of a Young Voices concert at London’s O2 arena.
Twenty pupils from the school on Green Hill made the trip to the capital on Wednesday January 27 to form part of a 7,000-strong choir, as well as showing off their newly-learnt dance moves.
The school had been practising for the event since September, and headteacher Jonny Wallace said all the pupils’ hard work paid off: “It was a truly memorable experience for all of the children and one I’m sure they will never forget.”
The twenty young performers rehearsed throughout the day at the iconic venue, before singing to a packed arena in the evening.
Every year, schools across the take part in the Young Voices choirs, and in previous years children have performed with artists such as Alexandra Burke, Joss Stone, and Gary Barlow as well as raising over £1 million for Children’s charities such as CLIC Sargent.
