The Witchford Village College student said: "I first became interested in the Mereham issue when I heard my parents' friends talking about it. I heard that loads more cars will be on the road and a lot of the countryside will be ruined. I will be affected because I go horse riding on the fields near my home and these would be taken away."

Mereham could bring 8,000 new homes to a 1,686-acre site between Stretham and Wilburton.
