MEETINGS this week were led by Major John Boyd, continuing the series of studies on 'the names of God'. The Singers are practising hard for carol concerts at local residential homes in December and an appeal is being mounted through the Ely branch of Superdrug for toys to make up Christmas parcels for the children of families who are facing difficulties through health problems. On the next two Saturdays, a Salvation Army Band will be playing carols in the Market Place and cash donations can be made toward the purchase of food hampers for these families and other assistance to people in need.
