Ely fire-fighters were involved in one of their more bizarre rescue missions last week - when they saved two baby ducks from a drain in Angel Drove, Ely.
The fire service was alerted on Thursday afternoon by a member of the public, who saw five ducks waddling along with their mother, only to turn around and see that two had disappeared!
Happily, after a rescue operation lasting about 30 minutes, the slightly bewildered but unharmed ducks were retrieved and left to go on their merry way.
