SIX sacks filled with European coins were found by police who disturbed a burglary at EMR Metal in Snailwell, Ely magistrates heard this week.

A police helicopter was scrambled during the incident, and two burglars were found in a nearby field. Ashley Garrett, 36, of South Ockendon, Essex, and Brian Saville, 62, of Loughton, Essex, admitted committing the burglary with intent to steal on August 25.

The court ordered a report and adjourned sentencing until October 26.
