The sun and crowds came out for the annual service and parade at Ely Cathedral for the Royal Anglian Regiment Association Cambridgeshire.
Dozens gathered in the cathedral grounds yesterday (July 15) for the event along with a host of local dignitaries.
After a poignant parade, the service began with the handing over from the Suffolk Regimental Museum of the restored colours of the 11th Suffolk Regiment, Cambridgeshire men, on loan to Ely Museum.
Stalls selling wartime memorabilia were also dotted around the site allowing visitors to browse and reminisce.
Mayor Councillor Mike Rouse, who attended alongside mayoress and daughter Cassie, said: “Great day in Ely with the Royal British Legion event featuring our Army Cadets, the Girl Guides and other supporting organisations attracting a lot of interest on the Royal Anglian Regt Association, Cambridgeshire, Annual Reunion Parade and Service Day.
“Congratulations to David Martin and the team on organising the event and all who took part.”
