PETER Crowe was inducted into the Rotary Club of Ely earlier this month.
He is on transfer from the Rotary Club of Otley, in Wharfedale in the Yorkshire Dales where he has lived for 83 years, apart from service in the Royal Navy. He is a widower and retired chartered accountant, having been the senior partner of a family firm in practice in Otley and Leeds. While in Wharfedale he has been an active participant and office-holder in many local vocational, sporting, Methodist, social and youth activities.
He has been a Rotarian for 47 years, having joined the Otley Club following the death of his father, who was a founder member of the club.
