Rotary's Christmas lunch is a real hoot

More than 50 members and friends enjoyed Ely Rotary Club's Christmas lunch.
The annual event even featured a production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves - 50 years on.
Written and directed by Jenny and Trevor See, and starring them, the pantomime was a skit on a part of the original story, with The Wicked Phil, played by Phil Smith, badgering the King, played by president Bernard Arnold, and others in side-splitting comedy.
The Christmas fayre was provided by caterers Margaret and John Toft, who have provided lunch for the club’s members for almost 40 years, travelling each time from their home in Fosdyke.
Club member, Eric Grant said: “It is surprising how many of the Rotary Club members have hidden talent, and can use it when required. It always proves to be a great source of fellowship amongst the members, and great fun.”
