Members of The Rotary Club of Ely presented Year 6 pupils with Usborne Dictionaries for Life at primary schools in and around Ely
During the last week of the summer term the presentations were organised by the club’s vocational service chairman Viv Doji.
In total 155 dictionaries were presented to pupils of four schools including St. John’s Primary in Ely, Rackham School in Witchford, Sutton Primary School and Little Thetford Primary School.
Funds to finance the dictionaries were raised by raffles at rotary events.
This year the Rotary Club of Ely doubled the number of dictionaries presented thanks to a matching grant from the Rotary Foundation, which is Rotary International’s own charity.
