The chief administrator of Ely Cathedral gave a talk to Ely Rotary Club this week.
Stephen Bourne shared amusing anecdotes and gave Rotarians an insight into the difficulties of administering a building of the size and historical value of Ely Cathedral.
Rotarian Rosemary Westwell said: “He emphasized how the cathedral is open and free to members of the local community. Anyone who lives locally only needs to take their driver’s licence to the desk at the cathedral and they will be able to collect a ticket that allows them free entry thereafter.”
