ON Friday, a party of bowlers and their partners from the Ross Peers Centre enjoyed a bowls weekend at the Warner Bembridge holiday centre at the Isle of Wight. Organised by Geoff Fisher, seven teams of four were entered into the Warners open fours tournament. Soham played teams from the Hays Bowls Club, this was a round robin format resulting in an exciting final between Hays and Soham's Ross Peers. The Soham team took the honours to bring home some impressive trophies. Congratulations to Bernie Bavester, John Brannan, Christopher Palmer and David Hedding who will now be invited to take part in the Warners Champion of Champions in September. Thanks also go to all the teams taking part and to Geoff Fisher for organising a superb weekend.
