MILDENHALL Fen Tigers speedway team roared into Ely on Wednesday to show off their machines and answer questions about their sport.
The Suffolk speedsters, who had their first meeting of the new Premier League season on Sunday, visited the Larkfield Centre on High Barns to give a video presentation and respond to questions.
Service users were then given an opportunity to examine a speedway bike - the machines have no brakes - and to see the machines running.
Larkfield is run by the Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership and provides care, help and support for people with learning difficulties.
Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership is made up of Cambridgeshire County Council's social services and health professionals. Tina Slattery, Larkfield support worker, said: "We were delighted that the Mildenhall Fen Tigers agreed to interrupt their preparations for the new speedway season to come and show our service users what their sport is all about.
