ROAD safety was top of the agenda for pupils at the Robert Arkenstall Primary School in Haddenham as pupils prepared for the long summer holiday.

As a part of the nationwide Look Ahead campaign pupils from the school were tasked with designing and drawing a poster highlighting the importance of bicycle safety, and in particular, wearing a crash helmet when out riding.

The competition, which was run by the Ely-based charity the Brain Injury Trust, was won by a pupil in Year 6 whose poster will now go forward to the national competition, where it could be selected as the charities new campaign poster.

Headteacher Dominic Sharp, said: "We won the national competition two years ago I believe so we will be looking forward to our entry doing well again this time around."
